What a day! Rebekah & Aidan's beach wedding was full of love, laughter, sandy beaches & doggy treats!
The Groomsmen prep!
As Aidan is from Cork the boys were, conveniently for me, staying at The Ocean Sands apartments. After knocking on a few apartments and waking up a few of the guests. Whoops! I finally knocked on the right apartment. I saw a lot of men in jocks that morning ha! Yipee! The day was perfect weather-wise, so I simply took the boys downstairs for a few snaps around the Ocean Sands back garden. Quite a cool spot with just everything you need for a good time and great photos!
The Ladies bridal prep!
Back into Ballina & the bridal prep was well underway at Rebekah's house! The fabulous Charlene Flanagan & Mrs Hair by J had the girls in full swing with hair and make-up and ready to take some fun photos with friends family and most importantly Rebekah and her very cute dogs. Who says not to work with kids or animals? These K-9's were made to model! As you can see from the pics, I loved Rebekah's hall! The colours were just perfect, with the yellow door, pink hallway and chequered black & white floor. I was a little obsessed :)
We headed to the very grand Cathedral in Ballina. I love shooting here. The architecture, the gallery, it's a truly magnificent building that makes for some great wedding photos! Rebekah and Aidan were married by the Bishop in a very elegant affair. Both families were overjoyed and it was lovely to see the joining of two families who clearly get on very well together.
We headed to Enniscrone beach for the bridal shoot and Rebekah & Aidan brought along their first baby doggy Sammy. She was super and we got some fab shots of her with the bridal party and just their little family shots which I loved. The weather was perfect with sunshine, dramatic clouds and held out the entire day. We could even see as far a Killala and the wind turbines, it was that clear.
As always, the reception in The Ocean Sands was amazing! The room looked beautiful, full of light and lovely wedding details. The cake, baked by a friend of theirs was gorgeous and perfectly placed between 2 milk pales. We gathered all the guests after dessert and took some cool sparkler shots when dark as well as a couple of shots with the swing. The music by Marvin and the Grooves had everyone on the floor! I might have felt my feet take off a few times while capturing the first dance! Boogie time's not just for the guests you know! :)
