I'm super excited to share Donna & John's wedding at the fabulous Castle Dargan! Yeaaah!
The MorningIt was a beautiful day and all started in the centre of town Ballina. These two were getting ready, right across the street from each other. So tempting to peek through the window, I wonder?..... ha! So handy for me though :)! I got to go back and forth and capture everything that was happening behind the scenes. I loved the natural light, tones and all the little romantic sentiments I found throughout the houses. The engagement & family mementoes, those cufflinks, so perfect! Those shoes and my favourite flower of them all, the sunflower! I had great craic working alongside Evan & Mary from Irish Eye Wedding Videos The atmosphere & energy of the day was so light and cheerful and gave us some great moments to capture. We stopped at Beleek woods for a little stroll and to capture some bridal shots. I loved the petal shot, btw all petals were material so were easily picked up.
I SWEAR, NO PETALS OR DUCKS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THESE PHOTOS :) ha!
EveningNext, it was onto the luxurious Castle Dargan Estate set on 170 acres of mature woodlands. "I liked the place", he said, "For the romances of its two ruined castles facing one another across a little lake". - W. B. Yeats after visiting Castle Dargan. This venue offers so much for wedding photos both indoor and outdoor. I always look forward to capturing weddings here, as there's so much variety and the atmosphere is always great. We took the opportunity for some evening shots just after dinner as the sun was going down. This is a great time btw to capture some very romantic shots, as the light is just so perfect. A must do when you have a location like this, although we actually only went as far as the car park! Worth it though. Nice car park eh!? No, I'm not Australian mate, I just like saying things like that! :)
