Wild Atlantic Way Wedding - Cathriona + Conal
When I met Cathriona & Conal for our pre-wedding chat they told me everything they wanted from their day. I was able to get a good idea of them as a couple and furthermore, a family. They were super excited, of course, but also very easygoing and they just wanted all the great moments captured. Wild Atlantic Way Wedding - Cathriona + Conal
The wedding day started in glowing sunshine and held up until the reception, which was just perfect! First, I stopped at the boys for a few groomsmen photos in Ballina. I then headed off to the girls, to see what they were getting up to! The drive along the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way to Cathriona's house in Ballycastle was an inspiring start to the day of course. When I reached Cathriona's, the bridal prep was in full swing and the excitement in the house was contagious. There were a great set of suppliers on hand including Amanda Conlon Make-up and MrsHairbyJ together with Michael Clarke on video. The view of Dun Briste through the windows in Cathriona's was very serene, even with all the action going on in the house it was hard not to stop and appreciate the view. Cathriona's dress was just stunning, so elegant with a beautiful floral lace bodice and added trim down the side. My favourite part, the back had lace criss-cross strapping from side to side. Cathriona and Conal's two daughters were bridesmaids and were very excited to see their mummy in her gown. The girls were so cute and even gave Jacqueline the hairstylist a wee hair-do, so everyone was looking very glamorous indeed!.
The Important bit!
The ceremony in Ballycastle was very emotional as Cathriona walked down the aisle and let a few nervous/happy tears fall. Not only were there tears, but also a lot of laughter! I love these moments, for these show the full sentiment involved in such a special day and as a result, give me some lovely moments to capture.
The Knees up!
After the Ceremony in Ballycastle church, we headed where all good Ballycastle folk go for a bit of the craic! Healy's of course and the craic was plenty! Everyone was in full celebration and the sandwiches and pints were flowing!
Wild Atlantic Way photoshoot!
After Healy's, we headed off to Ballycastle pier with Dun Bristle as the backdrop of course. The cliffs of Down Patrick are one of the many beauties the Wild Atlantic Way has to offer and one that's very homely to Cathriona of course as she was raised nearby.
Next, it was on to the reception in The Ocean Sands Hotel, Enniscrone, Sligo where the wedding reception was just kicking off. Olivia had the place looking amazing, obviously. There were lots of lovely details on the tables as well as in the halls and a great drinks reception with live music. Pete Carden started the reception, playing in the upstairs bar, (this guy is class btw). As a result, the guests were in fine merriment for the night ahead.
