Review from the Bride herself after a sneak peek on Facebook :)
'That ladies and gents... Is how you surpass your clients' expectations!!
You did an amazing job!! Now to impatiently wait for the rest... 😍😍😍'
When Stéphanie and Pierre-Marc asked me to capture their wedding at the fabulous Beleek Castle, I knew it was going to be a wonderful day and one I couldn't wait to capture. They had so many plans and filled me in on all the little details beforehand. This is fantastic knowledge to give to your photographer. Not only are we clued in on the day, but it gave me a real sense of what their expectations were photography-wise. It also gave me a great sense for them as a couple. I love couples who are really into their photographs and they certainly did not disappoint.
The Bridal Prep.
Of course, getting married in your venue's location is naturally a handy one for your photographer. Not only timewise, but usually, the couple is just a hallway apart. This gave me ample opportunity to move back and forth between the rooms as the action was happening. The atmosphere is important on a wedding day. And it was all there. A little blindfolded visit from Pierre to Stéphanie's room as she got ready caused a real giggle among the bridal party. When would this usually ever happen? ha! Check out these rooms! The backdrop for the bridal prep was just stunning! The couple had the hotel booked out for their guests, so I had the luxury of choosing any room for the dress and the grooms shots! It was a hard decision! Gobsmacked by their magnificence! Just wow Beleek Castle!
The ceremony took place in the elegance and splendour of the Library Restaurant, which is in the setting of a 19th Century Manor House. The sophisticated and stylish decor was styled by VIP weddings
. For that reason, it did not disappoint. Eilish has dressed a number of my weddings and I love to see what she comes up with next. My one tip to brides when planning your wedding is to take the hassle out of your wedding day. Hire a professional like Elish who will transform all your ideas with perfection.
The vows were really special and personal. Firstly, they wrote the vows on the morning of the wedding. And secondly, it made for some lovely shots of both the bride and groom. The intimacy of the ceremony was just magical and you could feel the excitement and love for this couple in the room. The guests were in great spirits.
Uninvited, but most welcome guests!
One guest looked very relaxed, in fact, a little too relaxed! ha! Reese the castle dog decided he was not going to miss this and arrived into the room to take a little nap on Stéphanie's train. This gave cause for great amusement among the wedding guests. Such a cutie! Not his first wedding I suspect! Check out Reese gate crashing the Merci card shot also! ha! Legend!
Bridal shoot locations.
As Stéphanie and Pierre-Marc are from France they understandably requested a few location suggestions. They were keen to visit a traditional pub for some shots. Of course, The Auld Shebeen in Ballina was the perfect fit. Obviously a very rustic and truly Irish pub perfectly located in the centre of town. Always a lovely idea to do with the couple. Not only do they get a little moment to enjoy some time with each other away from the wedding party. More importantly, they also get the bonus of a little traditional Irish drink! Yes, the good old 'Black Stuff', Guinness!
Next, we followed on with a trip to Rosserk Abey. A local Friary dating back to 1460. Followed by a stroll along the magnificent grounds of Beleek Castle.
Ev from Irish Eye Wedding Videos
captured video on the day. He is fantastic to work alongside and very creative and easy-going with a really unique flair and style for wedding videography. At sunset, we went down to the front of the castle and let off some smoke bombs. I love these, as they are something a little different and creative to add to your photoshoot on your wedding day.
